This is by far, some of the best wheat we have ever used for growing wheatgrass. It is organic hard red spring wheat with an incredible germination rate that grows wheatgrass with thick blades and very even growth. 

Flavor Description: The familiar intense sweetness that wheatgrass is known for. A sugary sweetness with a mild bitter aftertaste.

Wheatgrass growing Tips

• Plant wheat fairly densely in a tray that drains well 
• Seeds can be spread on the soil surface and do not need to be covered with additional soil. Keep soil moist and water from the bottom of the tray when possible.
• Due to the density of planting mold can develop and can be treated with a diluted mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water gently sprayed on effected areas. Be careful though, “root fuzz”, which develops as the seed begins to sprout, looks a lot like mold the first day or two.
