Purple Fabric Raised Bed – Mini, 15 gallon

A round fabric raised bed in purple, about 61 cm across and 30 cm deep. No frame, no screws: unfold it, fill it and plant the same afternoon. Deep enough for root crops, wide enough for a real mix of vegetables, and the fabric keeps the soil breathing and cooler through our season.

Why a fabric bed

  • No building, no tools. Unfold it, fill it, plant. It stands on its own on tiles, paving or sand.
  • Roots breathe. The fabric lets air in from every side, so roots branch instead of circling and the soil never goes sour.
  • Hard to overwater. Extra water drains through the fabric and the base.
  • Cooler in our heat. The fabric releases heat instead of holding it like a plastic or metal bed.
  • Lasts for years. Empty it at the end of the season, rinse, fold and store. Double-layer fabric, made by Smart Pot.

How to use it

Choose the spot first: it is heavy once filled. Four to six hours of morning sun is ideal in Kuwait; afternoon shade in summer helps. Unfold the bed, fill it with potting mix (not garden sand) up to a hand-width from the top, water well and let it settle, then plant. Water until it comes through the fabric. In summer the soil dries faster than in a plastic bed, so check it with your finger more often.
