Basil Lettuce Leaf Plant

Already growing. Just plant it.Skip the seed stage — start picking leaves in 2–3 weeks instead of 2 months.

Huge, crinkled leaves the size of your hand — the biggest basil there is.

Mild and sweet. Use the leaves as wraps, or tear into salads.

Very productive; slower to flower than other basils.

When to pick: Pick the biggest leaves from the top. One leaf is a serving.

Planting steps in detail

You need: Potting Soil Mix and a shovel. A pot 20 cm or bigger, or a sunny spot in the garden.

1. Pot: fill with Potting Soil Mix. Ground: dig, mix a few handfuls in.

2. Hole twice the size of the small pot. Water the small pot an hour before.

3. Squeeze the pot, slide out with the soil ball whole. Never pull the stem, never shake the roots.

4. Plant it at the same depth it was in the small pot. Press, water until it drains.

Late afternoon, never at noon. No feeding for the first 2 weeks.
