Planting steps in detail

You need: Potting Soil Mix and a shovel. A deep pot (25 cm+) or a sunny spot in the garden.

1. Pot: fill with Potting Soil Mix. Ground: dig, mix a few handfuls in.

2. Water the pot an hour before. Squeeze it and slide the soil ball out whole.

3. Gently pull the 5 plants apart, keeping the roots. Never pull hard on one stem.

4. Plant each one 15 cm apart, deeper than it was — up to where the leaves fan out. As they grow, push soil up around the stem: that is what makes the long white part.

Late afternoon, never at noon. No feeding for the first 2 weeks.
