Chinese Leek, also known as Nira, is a hardy perennial herb grown for its flat, broad leaves with a mild garlic-onion flavor. It is widely used in Asian cooking and grows well in home gardens and containers during the cooler season. Once established, plants can be harvested repeatedly.

Sow seeds from October to February in well-draining soil and a sunny location. Keep soil evenly moist during early growth. Plants form clumps over time and can be cut regularly, allowing fresh leaves to regrow.
